If CoyoteMIDI experiences an un expected error that could lead to an app shutdown, it will try to log the details of that error to a file. This file can be shared with CoyoteMIDI developers to help them fix the cause of the error much more easily.
You can find the crash file in the following file locations:
MacOS Finder:
/Users/<your user>/Documents/CoyoteMIDI/logs/applog.txt In this case, <your user> should be replaced with the name of the user that is signed in on the device.
Windows Explorer:
Documents/CoyoteMIDI/logs/applog.txt
If no file is present, or the ‘logs’ folder doesn’t exist, then CoyoteMIDI was unable to save a crash report. This usually means that the unexpected error happened at a lower level than what CoyoteMIDI is able to intercept. If this is the case, please do still tell us about the crash and the lack of log file!
